- Life Coaching & Mentoring for Young Adults (18-30) and Adults

- Mindset, Well-Being, Motivation, Resilience, Career and Confidence Life Coaching - for Young Adults (18+) — with support also for adults at every stage of life
 - Life Coaching & Mentoring for Young Adults (18+) - At different points in life, the challenges, highs, and lows we face can encourage us to stop, reassess, and ask ourselves what direction we truly want to go in. Priorities change. Experiences shape decisions. For many young adults, this is especially true as they navigate study, career, relationships, and independence — but these same questions can arise at any stage of life.- I work mainly with young adults (18–30) who are figuring out study, career, and relationships, but I also support adults at other stages of life. Many of my clients are young men who benefit from having a safe, non-judgmental space to build confidence, clarity, and direction. Coaching with me is about helping you take back control of your own journey, so you can move forward with greater purpose and resilience.- Having worked in Education and Music for over 25 years, I realised that the joy of my teaching career was not just in the subject but in the connections with people. They inspired me to continue helping others grow. Direct Your Direction was born out of that passion, combined with my own life journey and professional training. I am now a Certified and Accredited Personal, Executive, Leadership & Mentoring Coach and a Mental Health and Wellbeing Coach with Kingstown College Dublin and EMCC.
- What People Say- I really did enjoy my experience with Áine. Everyday posed a new outlook on not only career prospects/further education, but, on how I view myself. As a recent college graduate with limited experience I didn’t know what to expect when contacting Áine. However, I found myself becoming increasingly motivated and confident on every step we took throughout our time together. We primarily refined my communication and interpersonal skills and things are only going upward since we last met. I have been offered a fantastic job and enrolled in a part-time postgrad course during the short amount of time since we last met. Áine’s patience, energy and experience really did contribute to my current well-being and happiness. I couldn’t thank Áine enough, she really opened my eyes to the many options the world has to offer and gave me the motivation to take the leap. Without question it is definitely worth your time and I couldn’t recommend her services enough ! She is amazing and what she does. - – John - After finding myself recently unemployed I struggled with confidence and I found it difficult to decide what path to take. I decided to turn to professional help and this is where I met Áine. - Áine really helped me get clarity on where I needed to focus. She was inspirational and encouraging. We worked on a plan and this motivated me to move forward. I gained confidence every session I had with Áine. I am now thankfully back working. Áine helped me every step of the way. Thanks Áine.- – Jordan - What People Say- Áine worked with me during a transitional period of my life. She helped me to focus on meeting both personal and professional goals. I found the experience very thought provoking and inspiring. The process of working with Áine helped me devise a plan and work towards my desired outcomes. Áine is very professional in her approach. I felt comfortable and at ease with her and she felt like a supportive and trusted friend. I would highly recommend Áine to anyone who wants to maximise their full potential and reach desired results.- – Christine- I wholeheartedly recommend Áine for career guidance. She’s incredibly talented at what she does and has played a pivotal role in helping me choose the career path I wanted to pursue. Her exceptional qualities include unwavering dedication, deep empathy, and an uncanny ability to provide insightful guidance. If you’re looking for someone who can truly make a difference in your career journey, Áine is the person to turn to. I can’t speak highly enough of her expertise and the positive impact she can have on your life. Thank you Áine- – Zak

- Why should you work with me? - Because I am an empathetic, supportive, EMCC Certified Personal Executive and Leadership Coach, located in Tramore Co. Waterford, with over 25 years of performing and teaching Music for and with teens and young adults. - I specialise in coaching young adults, especially young men, who want to grow their confidence, resilience, and sense of direction. At the same time, my coaching is equally effective for adults at any stage of life navigating change, uncertainty, or new opportunities.- With this wealth of experience I can help Young Adults find their path and purpose in life.- As a result of my musical background as a Musician and an Educator, I have the unique option of including Music as a tool, where appropriate, to enhance communication with Parents/Carers, confidence, resilience, leadership and life skills. This is not Music Therapy but it is therapeutic Music. And you may even take up a new musical hobby in the future!- Learning how to effectively communicate is an important skill. - Music as a Coaching Tool - Music can be very powerful and speaks to people in different ways. - Music can be a powerful way to spark reflection, shift mood, and connect more deeply with your own thoughts. Sometimes the words of a song speak directly to you, while other times instrumental music helps you slow down and focus. In my coaching, I may use music in different ways to support your growth and self-discovery — but always as part of the coaching process, not as a music lesson.- Examples:- Creating or listening to playlists that reflect and support the themes we’re exploring.
- Using simple instruments (such as tin whistle or harp) to encourage mindfulness, confidence, and self-expression.
- Exploring the emotions and insights music brings up, and how they connect to your goals.
